Perry Lovelace will present Sustainability of Whidbey’s water, including the Peak Water prediction model and what you can do about it. We will briefly cover the history of water on Whidbey, its aquifer system, extraction history and current status are explained with stories and examples. Perry’s entertaining presentation will enlighten and challenge you to get active in your own water supply systems. Come and learn how water connects us all.
For over 50 years, Perry has been curious how the earth's dynamic systems work together, especially the cycle of water in diverse climates around the world. His special interests are rainfall patterns, aquifers, wells and how we manage Earth’s water. Perry will share stories of how the water cycle works on Whidbey Island, what we know, what we don't know, and what we need to know to live sustainably in the face of our changing climate. Perry is also available to meet with Water Systems managers like HOA and districts.
