A workshop for farmers, livestock owners, foresters, ecologists, home gardeners, and more- all day Friday, September 18, with optional field walks on Saturday, September 19.

Can trees help feed livestock as well as people? Can they help with water retention in dry pastures? Can wet areas be conscientiously put to use? Is there a role for hay production in concert with livestock grazing? Come spend a day at Keystone with Sierra Smith, from Thurston County WSU Extension, discussing how agriculture, silviculture, ecological restoration, and backyard gardening come together to create thriving landscapes and healthy habitats here on Whidbey Island.

It will be a day of learning, great conversations, and thinking about ways our local lands can be spaces of great vitality.
